Blogs are a great way today to build links to your main site and drive traffic to your site.

There are several benefits of blogs.

1. You post something and then send out a notification to blog search engines such as Technorati.com. This notification is called a ping. That gets your new content into the blog search engines and drives rather immediate traffic to the blog.
2. You have links from the blog going back to your main site. These links are in the sidebar or sidebars, and in the content of the blog posts. You can see examples of this on several blogs we have designed:

It is important once you start a blog to post something to it once a week. The post can be anywhere from 150 words to 1,000 words.
